20 years later. . .
Fast forward more than two decades, and we’re still running our West Sussex factory by the sea, whipping up chocolate magic with a splash of seaside charm.
We’re proud to keep our factory free from palm oil, additives, and anything unnatural, so every bar you enjoy is packed with nothing but the good stuff. Our commitment to ethical sourcing means we only use ingredients that meet top-notch standards, certified by Rainforest Alliance, UTZ, Soil Association, and Cocoa Horizons.

SUSTAINABILITY
Since early 2020, we’ve been on a mission to make sure every piece of Montezuma’s packaging is either recyclable, biodegradable, or compostable. We’re not just talking about a few items—we’re the first UK chocolate company to roll out this eco-friendly commitment across our entire range and all our packaging materials. How’s that for a sweet start?
Our ‘Waste Not, Want Not’ philosophy means we’re all about reducing waste in the most delicious way possible.
We collect our factory’s chocolatey wastewater to treat and turn into pig feed. As for leftover chocolate—trust us, it never goes to waste! If you’re local to our Head Office you may have even bagged yourself a bargain in our Pop Up Store or on the food waste saving app, Too Good To Go.
We power our office, factory, and stores with 100% renewable energy, cutting our carbon footprint and pushing our suppliers to up their green game. We’re all about challenging ourselves and our partners to keep improving our environmental impact.
